Private Investigator Bursary

National bursary competition for academic year 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. Each scholarship will provide £1,000 to assist one student undertaking a full-time course (BTEC Level 3 and above).

The award will be made to the individual student for one year only.

What is This Scholarship?

We have a huge interest in the education of the next generation of private detectives and investigators and as we have a commitment to helping others we are offering one student a monetary award to assist with their education.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants are required to be studying for a BTEC Level 3 or above
  • Applicants are required to have firmly accepted their offer of a full-time place
  • Applicants must be registered with the university by the 31st October 2014 for the bursary 2014/2015 and 31st October 2015 for the bursary 2015-2016.

A panel made up of private detectives and investigators will meet in early November to consider who the scholarship will be awarded to.

Criminology, Forensic Science, Criminology and Police Science, Forensic Crime Scene, Digital, E-Crime, Cyber Crime, Forensic Investigation, Forensic Analysis, Crime and Investigative Studies, Criminology and Sociology, Law, Psychology and Criminology, Policing, Law and Investigation.

Applicants that meet this criterion are invited to submit a 200 word statement titled "How The Private Investigator Scholarship Will Help Me" via the below form.

  • Dudley

    One of the birthplaces of the Industrial Revolution, Dudley was a market town and, before the coal, limestone, and iron industries decline and the commercial centre relocation to the Shopping Centre of Merry Hill nearby in the 1980s, grew into an industrial centre in the 19th century. Dudley Zoo and Castle, the 12th century ruins, and the Black Country Living Museum include Tourist attractions.

  • Private Investigator Dudley

    Constructed by Ansculf de Picquigny, William's father in 1070 after his town acquisition, Dudley Castle served as the extensive Dudley Barony's seat, which, across England, in different counties possessed estates. Financed by William Humble Eric Ward, the Earl of Dudley, to replace the 1870 building, Priory Road's Dudley Council House in 1935 was opened by King George V. There are railway stations in Dudley, both over a mile from Dudley town centre, these are Dudley Port and Tipton, according to ONS.

  • Investigating Dudley

    Until absorption into the Birmingham Evening Mail in late 1986, Dudley was served by the Dudley Evening Mail. As part of the record-breaking nationwide tornado outbreak, Dudley was struck by an F1/T2 on 23 November 1981. Built into the castle grounds, Dudley Zoo houses a collection of endangered species, and the largest collection of Tecton buildings in the world.

    Sir Gilbert Claughton and The Blue Coat School merged to form Castle High School, as well as The Dudley, in the town other schools include Rosland Secondary School, which, in 1970, became part of The Blue Coat School, and Park Secondary School. To accommodate blinded miners, the Guest Hospital, the oldest, was created as a charity hospital by the Earl of Dudley in 1849.

    To become Dudley Primary Care Trust, Dudley South Primary Care Trust and Primary Care Trust of Dudley Beacon and Castle merged in October 2006. One can find St John's church in Kate's Hill of Dudley, whose graveyard contains a 19th-century Prizefighter, William Perry's burial place, known as the Tipton Slasher.
